Every athlete is different so I am building the difference in performance with AI.
6 months ago I read an article by Kristen Faulkner. There is a lack of performance research for women in sports so the research she needed to get to the next level didn’t exist so she started writing it by herself and started building.
It got me thinking: “In the end, everyone’s body is different so every athlete needs a different approach. What if I could build this and test it on myself first? An universal system that is personalized on the body metrics of the user.
But this is not all of it. Another really important factor for performance is nutrition. There are a lot of nutrition trackers to track all the macro’s and micro’s but what if you could know what impact it has on your body? I want to build something that tracks nutrition aligned with performance so you know what to eat, how much to eat and when to eat it.
The 3rd pillar is ‘Time management’. I am talking about athletes, pro or not, with a busy schedule. Brand partnerships, studying, being a content creator or if you still have a job can be pretty damn time consuming. How you manage your time has a big influence on performance too but what your body can handle is again a personal matter.
Every app I use gives me one piece of the story, but what if there was only 1? The last application every athlete needs to level up their game.
The last couple of months I have been learning to code, learning to use AI in an effective way and I have been figuring out how to pull this off. First of all I am not going to do this alone. I am building a team for later on and I’m looking for a co-founder.
First of all I’ll be building everything pillar by pillar, and train it all on my own body first to make every output both interesting and actionable. I’ll be building a system that pulls in the data I use as an athlete and runs it against all the tracking I have done in history.
Using your brain as an athlete is crucial. Tactics; studying the plan, the course, the competition; staying curious, building, knowing what to do and when to do it. It all accumulates. AI will change the world of athletic performance and I want to help.
